Article Processing Charges

1. General Information

International Journal of Whole Schooling (IJWS) is a Gold Open Access journal published under the CC BY license (CC-BY). Upon acceptance, and before publication, the payment of an Article Processing Charge (APC) of 1800 USD will be requested. The APC covers part of the costs of staffing, web hosting, long-term archiving and general publishing costs, with the remainder of the costs being covered by donations and sponsorship.

2. Waiver and Discounts

IJWS provides discounts or full waivers for authors who meet any of the following criteria:

• Authors from low-income countries (as defined by the World Bank and Research4Life)
• Authors without funding support or whose institutions do not provide sufficient funding
• Members of the Editorial Board
• Members of the Review Board
• Fellows of the Whole Schooling Consortium

Time-Limited Discount:
Manuscripts submitted on or before 31 December 2026 are eligible to apply for an APC waiver or discount. Author fees or waiver status do not influence editorial decision-making. For waivers or discounts, please contact the Editorial Office < ijws@wholeschooling.net> before submission.

3. Ways of Payment and Instructions

• Bank Transfer
  After acceptance, the corresponding author will receive an official invoice with detailed payment instructions.

IMPORTANT: When making payment, please ensure the Journal name / Manuscript NO. are clearly indicated in the details of the bank transfer. If you have already made a successful payment, please send a copy of the payment voucher to us. Only after receiving your payment voucher will we proceed to the next step.
